Childhood immunisations protect your child from dangerous diseases that can lead to them becoming seriously ill and developing long term complications. Immunisations are quick, safe and extremely effective at keeping children and the wider community safe against harmful infectious diseases.
It is really important that your child has all of their immunisations in order to be fully protected. They will be invited for immunisations at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, 1 year and 3 years 4 months old.
Further immunisations are also given at age 12 – 14 at school, as well as annual flu vaccinations between age 2 – 10.
If you missed routine vaccinations as a child, or are unsure about your vaccination history, you are encouraged to contact the practice to discuss the possibility of catching up on these immunisations.
